After years of arduous traveling and training, the ME 218 colony has established a foothold on Mars, and surveys by the research geologists have indicated that there may be rich veins of rare element ores—including element 218, Obtainium. As a fickle group of young engineers
working for Carryer-Kenny Holdings (CKH) or Gumerlock Heavy Industries (GHI) - two large multinational conglomerate with interests in nearly every industry - we want to make our name (and fortune) on Mars. Our shareholders have paid for our trip to Mars, and gave us a pair of Mineral Identification, Nucleation, and Extraction Rigs (MINERs), so all we have to do is find some ore and make our fortune... or at least enough to pay for the ticket home... Unfortunately they forgot to give us a way to move the MINERs around, so we had to build a TRACTOR for Commercializing The Obtainable Resources (TRACTOR) ourselves to get the MINERs to where they’re needed. Preliminary screen testing of the teammates involved and several TAs has allowed us to land at an acceptable name by which to call our TRACTOR, B.O.B.B.Y. Our intel suggests the most concentrated deposits of Obtainium can be found in the Peterson Pediment, and so we’ve hauled our MINERs and B.O.B.B.Y out to the desolation, far from the existing human habitation. B.O.B.B.Y uses two IR detectors and magnets to grab friendly MINERs and move them to deposits of Obtainium. B.O.B.B.Y can also grab enemy MINERs and carry them around with him as he completes his other jobs |
